On a foray into the most beautiful palaces of Austria
There is no more baroque palace, no more self-confident complex in Vienna than the Belvedere. It was no coincidence that Maria Theresa chose it as the location for the wedding celebration of her daughter Marie Antoinette, and the new Austria was certainly born here with the State Treaty. The noble Karl Hohenlohe introduces this house and also goes into the unknown parts of its eventful history. For example, heir to the throne Franz Ferdinand lived in this castle and prepared here for the seizure of power, which never happened.
Art connoisseur and ORF-III presenter Karl Hohenlohe will be exploring once again the most magnificent architectural treasures that Vienna has to offer in the second season of "Vieler Herren Häuser" (the Austria's Noble Mansions). The other four destinations lead the moderator into the Albertina, the Palais Augarten, the Park Hotel Schönbrunn and to the versatile Palais am Schwarzenbergplatz.
