A story that has taken shape along the Danube - Wachau is a magical attraction any time of the year
The Wachau is one of Austria's most important cultural landscapes. It is often forgotten that this area is also a living and working place for many people who pursue their everyday activities beyond the natural beauty. The Clever Contents production provides insights into the past and present of the Wachau region.
The vineyards, the meanders of the Danube and the picturesque church tower of Dürnstein have long been part of the World Cultural Heritage and were immortalized in many aerial photographs. The Wachau is considered to be one of the most charming river valleys in Europe. Their treasures have been much sung and extensively praised. In their entirety, they are even elevated to world heritage, at the same time modern and traditional.
The film develops on the basis of a fictional and stylized daily routine, which in the case of Wachau is a sunny early autumn day with beautiful colorful fall leaves, still sufficient tourism, the famous grape harvesting and much more.
The portrayal of Wachau as microcosm with all the human encounters unfolds the great panorama of the landmark.
