The ORF initiative MOTHER EARTH - Reuse instead of waste
Zero Waste! Happier without it
Plastic waste, mountains of rubbish, population growth and climate change - our "throw-away" society seems to be suffocating from the consequences of its consumerism. Garbage is created almost all the time in our modern life. Plastic bottles, cigarette butts, food packaging and the remains of online orders can be found everywhere today, not just in the garbage cans, unfortunately also in nature. Even if we shop consciously, it is difficult not to produce waste. It's bad for our planet!
The film „Zero Waste! Happier without it“ introduces people and projects that address the avoidance and recycling of packaging and waste in everyday life. It shows how we can start to raise awareness in schools and which responsibilities the plastic industry has.
The film documents the growing consiousness for enviromentalism and waste prevention in our society and shows how important the engagement of every individual is to lead the way into a more sustainable future for next generations.
