District Stories - Floridsdorf # 2024

It is the second largest district in Vienna and was even a candidate for the Lower Austrian state capital before it was incorporated into the city of Vienna - in the third episode of the District Stories series, Karl Hohenlohe visits Floridsdorf. The traditional industrial location is also characterized by its immediate proximity to the Danube, in the form of recurring floods and also by the DDSG shipping company. The original villages from which the district was created, such as Jedlesee, Strebersdorf or Leopoldau, still have an impact in their structures. The journey on the U1 subway line ends here.
