District stories - Favoriten # 2024

Anyone who takes the U1 subway line from one end to the other travels through completely different environments, from the working-class district of Favoriten through the tourist and business world of the inner city to the rural Floridsdorf. In this new series, presenter Kari Hohenlohe travels through Vienna along the U1 line. He starts in Favoriten, a district that still brings its history as an industrial zone today. His tour takes you from the South Station via the Laaer Forest to the Wienerberg and the Bohemian Prater, exploring the then and now of this district.
